About Me

Andrea
So much is happening on a global scale that it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with current events, often causing great confusion, frustration and depression. With the media feeding us news of economic crisis, environmental disasters, epidemics, war, and terrorism, we often feel helpless and would rather ignore reality with the belief that these problems are too big for us. What can we change? How can we face these issues with bravery and creativity? What can we learn and what can we teach each other to help guide the trajectory of our future? We must fight to have our voices herd, and protesting, being an exercise of free speech, is a liberty that we often take for granted in our so-called democratic society. Art is equally an important medium for expressing one’s opinion by joining the power creativity and analytical thought. Using art as a platform of expression and protest, it provides a therapeutic means for communication and contemplation of the oftentimes stressful dooms-day scenarios of our world.
